The Northern Pacific
region features many marinas and is home to schools
of wahoo and tuna, which are most prevalent in the
area from May through July and from August through
October respectively. Also present are marlin,
sailfish, and roosterfish, which are found here year
round.

Fish represented in the Central
Pacific region include sailfish, which are present
mainly from December through April, and tuna, which
are located here year round.
Other species include marlin, dorado, snook, and
roosterfish, which can be found along the mouths of
nearby rivers and by Drake’s Bay, which is located
off of the Osa Peninsula.
The Southern Pacific region is home to roosterfish,
which are known here for their extremely large size.
Additionally, schools of marlin, dorado, sailfish,
and snook are present seasonally.
This region is also especially known for the schools
of yellow fin tuna that are typically present from
March through August.
